The Westham Garden Club

The Westham Garden Club is open to new members and warmly invites you to visit “Our Club” page. You can get acquainted with our club’s history and mission on this page.

Westham Garden Club Meetings

The Westham Garden Club (WGC) holds general meetings on the 2nd Thursday of each month from September to April. Meetings are at 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM unless otherwise scheduled. The morning meetings start with social time at 9:00 AM, followed by the business meeting at 9:30 AM, and the program at *10:00 AM. *Could start 5-10 minutes earlier depending on the business meeting.

The evening meetings start at 7:00 PM with the program. Please arrive between 6:45-7:00 PM to check in and prepare for the program.

Meetings are held at Tuckahoe Presbyterian Church, 7000 Park Avenue, Richmond, 23226. Parking is at the back of the church. Enter through the double doors on the left.

New Member Important Dates!

The WGC Board votes on any new members at our Board meetings in November and March of each year.

Before the end of October or February, any member wishing to sponsor a new member must submit a “Letter of Recommendation” to the Membership Chairman, Megan Dalzell. Her contact email is mdalzell2@gmail.com

Any proposed new members must attend at least one previous meeting as a guest before the Board vote in November and March.

After the letter is received, the Membership Chair will read the letter(s) at the November or March board meeting as per our Bylaws, and a vote will be held at that time. The new member(s) will be announced at the first general meeting following the above-noted board meetings.

Once a new member has been accepted, her contact information will be added to the website in the Member’s Only section. The Membership Chair will contact the new member to welcome them to the club.

Garden Therapy

The Westham Garden Club is involved in garden therapy with the Three Chopt Elementary School program for students with special needs and plans an experience in gardening once a month during the school year. For more information contact Carol Cruickshanks: carolcc123@aol.com

All willing volunteers must complete a volunteer form that is supplied by the county.
